Finding the right Medellin tours is a matter of setting priorities straight. Groups visiting for bachelor parties have different expectations from those visiting for couples or family trips.
Medellin bachelor party groups look for activities where the start time isn’t at the crack of dawn or require minimal effort. While families prefer starting the day bright and early in order to see more.
Our bachelor party groups want activities that provide cultural immersion but only for a few hours. They want to be able to be back home by 5-6pm. Pregame and head out to the town and experience Medellin nightlife.
But not all Medellin tours are created equal and different types of groups need different itineraries.
Best Tours in Medellin for Bachelor Parties
Medellin bachelor party groups don’t know what they don’t know about daytime trips and look for someone to put together their day.
They all have similar needs:
- Don’t have time to do much research
- Don’t want to work too hard on trying to convince their group
- No one wants to take the lead
- Refuse to get up too early on vacation (9am is the very earliest)
- Want to be back at the hotel or Airbnb on time for dinner and pregame.
- The less effort the better
- Needs to be absolutely epic to avoid getting crap from the rest of the group.
With those caveats in mind, we’ve got the following three excursions we recommend.
ATVs in Medellin
ATVs in Medellin is the best action packed excursion for groups of 3-16 guests. Depending on the tour the drive is 45-60 minutes away from your hotel or Airbnb. It can be 2-4 hours, includes snacks and features easy, intermediate or difficult trails. Take a cold dive in a beautiful waterfall and enjoy the views of the Aburra Valley.
Guatape Boat Party
Guatape is a must for all groups but the Guatape boat party we recommend for our bachelor party groups. On this custom-made excursion we take the 90-120 minute (depending on how early you leave) to the scenic town of Guatape. Here, depending on how energetic you’re feeling, we’ll take the hike up the majestic monolith for which the town is known. We will then head over to the dock where a pontoon or catamaran is waiting. Stocked with plenty of alcohol and snacks, you’ll have everything you need for this daytime event. This tour combines culture, with water activities as well as daytime party vibes. A must for groups that want to see the town, climb the rock and party it up during the day.
Shooting range
Shooting range in Medellin is the perfect daytime event for those who want to disconnect and shoot guns in the woods. No other way to put it nicely, really. Pick from a few dozen guns and get proper training while you relax and take in the views. You can mix in shooting range and ATVs in the same day so feel free to knock off two items off your list.

Couples visiting Colombia want tours catered a bit more to culture, great food with a bit of nightlife sprinkled in.
This is why we recommend the following tours:
Comuna 13 Graffiti Tour
Comuna 13 was once Medellin’s most dangerous neighborhood. A place where Pablo Escobar picked and trained his assassins, no one stepped into Comuna 13 unless you lived there. Today, after military intervention, the neighborhood is booming with culture, art and great food. Art in the form of dancing and grafittis. We recommend this tour as it mixes all those componenets with epic views and a tranquil ride up one of the city’s cable cars.
Guatape
Couples can also have a smaller version of our Guatape boat party. But if you’re looking to keep it simple, check out the town, climb the rock and rent a few jetskis to tour the lake. Start at 8am and you’ll likely be back by 5pm. Plenty of time to freshen up for dinner and a tour through Provenza.
Paragliding
Another one of our favorite Medellin tours is the paragliding excursion. Here we’ll take you up to one of the most popular peaks just outside of Medellin. Where a certified paragliding pilot will take you on a 20-minute flight that will take your breath away. Weather conditions will dictate whether or not the excursion will take place but best to do early.

Comuna 13 Graffiti Tour
Once again, the comuna 13 tour is one of our favorite Medellin tours for familes as well. This tour is ‘paisa’ culture at its finest mixed with great street food and views. You won’t see a neighborhood like this anywhere else and the views from the cable cars will have you see Medellin in the eyes of a local. A tour for all ages. Some walking required but the electric stairs help you get from point A to point B quicker.
Helicopter Tour
Up to 5 people (depending on size and weight) will share each helicopter on one of the many packages we offer. From Guatape (20 minute flight total) to a city tour, these helicopter tours in Medellin are a quicker way to see the city. Skip the traffic and create unforgettable memories.
