#1. Venue – VIP Rentals in Medellin
This is the #1 most important factor because you can’t host a pool party without at least a lavish penthouse. We can substitute the pool for an 8-person jacuzzi so if you have one of the two, you’re good to go.
Suppose you’d like to pick a separate venue from your current Medellin accommodations. Be sure to look up fincas for the day in Copacabana and Girardota. These towns are 45-60 minutes away from El Poblado and there is a great selection of luxury vacation homes (also known as fincas).
Look for a place with a view and make sure it’s accessible by van. We’ve had to bail out bachelor party groups where they get fincas high up in the mountains. Needless to say, this wasted time getting there, and affected their time at the party.

#2. Alcohol – Best Places to buy Alcohol in Medellin
Once you have your venue, you’re going to need booze. Whether you want to keep it simple with black label and Goose. Or want to upgrade to Macallan and Don Julio 1942, you’ll need to find a good liquor store.
You won’t find everything at every store like you would back in the states. We recommend hitting up the following liquor stores:
Carulla – A chain of supermarkets that have a pretty robust variety of liquor from all over the world.
J&R – A classic liquor store located in Parque Lleras. Here you can get everything from basic Aguardiente (our local spirit) to Dom Perignon.
La Careta – This place isn’t as good as the last two. But if you find yourself in the Provenza section of El Poblado, it’s a good substitute.
Be sure to stock up on ice, plastic cups, and snacks. If you’re orchestrating this shindig, better do it right. There’s a lot of pressure in putting a party together for the pickiest crew of lowlifes you know.
#3. Food – VIP Chef in Medellin
We’ve got a place to party and booze, we’re going to need to feed these people. You can order a couple of pizzas or a few buckets of Colombian fried chicken. But if this is a bachelor party you’re setting up, let’s do it right.
