Most people tend to stay within the vicinity of the El Poblado neighborhood which is the best and safest part of town. However, as with any big city, you still have to be mindful of your surroundings. Avoid flashy jewellry and drawing too much attention by being loud and belligerent at clubs and bars. Don’t take drinks from strangers and don’t share cabs with strangers.

Make sure you have the address of your hotel or Airbnb as English isn’t spoken by everyone. You also want to make sure you convert to local currency as USD isn’t accepted.

Most of these are precautions you’d take on most trips but for specific questions, feel free to reach out to us directly.

El Poblado is Medellin’s best neighborhood. It’s home to the best bars, clubs and restaurants as well as the nicest hotels and rentals.

Depending on the type of group you’re here with we recommend a few things.

For groups who tend to split up and do some exploring on their own we recommend staying near Parque Lleras and Provenza areas. Here you’ll have more penthouses and apartments.

Those groups who won’t do much exploring during the day and prefer the more party aspect of Medellin, we recommend Los Balsos, Las Palmas areas. These are areas within El Poblado. A few minutes away by car from nightlife. But here you’ll find the best mansions, villas and views of the city.

On average a 7-10 bedroom villa in Medellin can cost between $1200-$2000 per night.

Accommodations will be the biggest expense of the trip. While activities range from $50-100 per person.

I would expect to pay for a group of 10 on average about $800-1000 per person. That would include housing, chef for breakfast, concierge services, transportation and 2 activities.

 Verified Best weekend of my life. I found these guys via ChatGPT, of all places, while I was planning my own bachelor party. They came highly recommended along with a couple other similar bach tour companies, and after reaching out to all of them, Jovan was the easiest to communicate with, and so we went with Medellin Crew.I'm a seasoned traveler and I've planned a DIY Cartagena bach party for a buddy before, but I 100% can say that my Medellin trip and my bach weekend was elevated because of Jovan and his team. They hooked us up with the sickest AirBnB, which came with 24/7 security and staff that really took care of us (even running out in the middle of the night while we're partying to stock the fridge with water!). We had chefs come every morning to cook breakfast daily and dinner one of the nights, along with a boat ride in Guatape, which personally was a highlight of the trip. Lastly, we had a nightlife host Edward who was the man. He clearly knew everyone in town, and hecklers would avoid us when they saw us rolling with him. It made our nightlife experience much more enjoyable, and put us all at ease about safety/security. It was the first time in Medellin for most of the guys, and despite having traveled a lot, we admittedly were slightly concerned about safety before we got here.
