The weeks leading to a well-planned vacation are exciting. The weeks leading to a poorly planned guys’ trip, not so much.
If you’re reading this, you have 3 days in Medellin planned and need to make sure it’s epic. This is a trip with the pickiest individuals you know. One false move will have you banned from the trip planning committee for life.
Not to fear, you did the most important part, which is having Medellin as the front-runner. But what’s next? We’ll tell you.
3 Days in Medellin – Day 1
Guys’ trips tend to involve lots of drinking and luxury accommodations, we’ll hook your crew up with both. (See our rentals page).
Once you check in to your apartment we’ll provide you guys with a grocery run. Making sure your fridge is full with all the necessary provisions for this 72-hour dash.
Considering day 1 tends to be a Thursday, our plan is to hit the ground running.
We’ll make dinner reservations at one of the city’s liveliest restaurants. We also have the second option of our VIP Chef service. With this service, you’ll have one of our culinary artists cooking up a storm at your luxury Medellin rental.
Once the meet and greet and dinner have come to an end we’re ready to hit the town. Parque Lleras is Medellin’s bustling nightlife district and beauty for first-timers.
Swarms of beautiful women and live music on every corner make up the famous square. After bar-hopping, we’ll make our way over to a top Medellin Nightclub where bottle service is easy and inexpensive.
Now, we’ve gotten your feet wet when it comes to Medellin women. But there are a few gentlemen’s clubs where we’ll wrap up night 1. (Check out our Best Strip clubs in Medellin article).
Best Tours in Medellin – Day 2
Once the sun creeps through your window and you feel like a train has just hit you on the head, you’ll need to freshen up. For that reason, we recommend the daily breakfast courtesy of our VIP Chef service.
A chef will provide your crew with all the necessary fiber supplements in a full meal to take on the very exciting day 2. Throw in a few mimosas and you’re now hangover free at 11 am.
Now that we’ve got that out of the way, we can enjoy your first full day in Medellin. For day 2 we recommend our ATVs in Medellin excursion. This excursion is made for those who want to take in the sites and enjoy the scenery. You’ll go through rural Medellin, forest, and paved roads, and even stop at a local watering hole and enjoy a cold one.
For those who want to skip the ATV, we recommend Medellin’s best city tour, the Comuna 13 Graffiti Tour. This excursion is for lovers of culture and anyone who wants to see Medellin without having to visit a museum or walk too much.
Once the tour comes to an end, we recommend lunch on the road, heading back home, and freshening up. We’re only getting started.
Day 2 – At-home Parties
We like to use this idle time to get ready and pregame for the night that’s ahead. You can choose to have a BBQ at the house (a house party where we bring everything to you) or head out for a late dinner.
If you choose a house party, make sure you’re staying at a party-friendly pad.
If you want the Medellin Nightlife tour, we recommend Bolivar or Salon Amador as far as Medellin Nightclubs. Bottles are under $150 USD and the crowd is elite. We recommend not hitting it too hard on night 2 as day 3 will be long.
Guatape Boat Party – Day 3
Usually Saturday or Sunday, day 3 is our Guatape Boat Party.
Guatape is a town located 90-120 minutes away from Medellin. The town is famous for its 720-foot monolith. Stairs were built to have this monolith be scalable by the general public. Once you reach the top, there is an unreal view of the town. A must for any 3 days in Medellin.
We use day 3 for this activity because there is a lake where we host our Guatape Boat Party. Choose from wake-boarding boats or large pontoons and make this either an adventure excursion or a booze cruise.
We recommend this activity (which takes about 10 hours total) but we have other options if you’re not up for this trip. For crews not looking to take the drive. We recommend our Soccer Experience or Paintball tour for your 3 days in Medellin.
If we do embark on the voyage to Guatape. The trip has a few stops at local eateries where we’ll try out empanadas and fresh juices on the road.
Upon arrival, we’ll climb the monolith and enjoy a cold beer at the summit. The view is unreal so make sure you keep your phones charged.
Once we’ve wrapped up the monolith part, the fun begins. We’ll head over to the dock where we’ll have a cooler filled with beers and snacks. The boat will pick us up there and we’ll spend 2 hours out on this fascinating lake.
We recommend heading back to the city at about 5 pm which gives us enough time to be home by 7 pm.
Day 3 – Medellin Nightlife Sendoff
Wrapping up a 3 day trip to Medellin can be done in many ways. We like to go out the way any guy’s trip needs to go out. A great dinner followed by hitting out the town and seeing where the night takes us. Checking out Gusto Nightclub in Parque Lleras. Getting a VIP and likely find yourself getting home a few hours before your flight.
