The women are top-notch and though we’ve always felt the prices are high. Our devalued currency makes it very affordable. But that’s not what we’re here to talk about, let’s talk about the clubs themselves.
Medellin’s #1 Strip Club – La Isla
Many will argue that La Isla’s huge warehouse-like venue and modern decor make it the most VIP strip club in Colombia. Its 50+ tables make it one of the few places where groups of 20+ guys can enter without standing out. But what are the women like?
Located in Las Palmas, on busy nights (Thursday – Saturday) you can find between 80-100 girls. The club has done a great job with casting as you’ll find your type of girl. Tall, blondes, short, brunettes, dark, light, real and fake, the list goes on.
Expect to walk in and sit near the stage where you’ll enjoy the splash zone. Once you’re seated, we recommend changing your big Colombian bills or USD into tip money. The waiter will proceed in bringing you what appears to be an endless supply of $2000COP bills. FYI $2000 is about 60 cents. When the girls finish their two songs on the stage, they’ll walk by each table expecting a tip.
What to Expect at La Isla Medellin Strip Club
The club uses the phrase strip club in Medellin to market itself but it isn’t the conventional strip club. It is actually a brothel where you spend one on one time with your favorites. In fact, the lap dance areas were just added about a year ago to draw in the crowd not looking for more.
If you want to “hang out” with them at the club it will be about $80 USD for 45 minutes. If you want to bring them home with you, expect to pay anywhere from $200-$300 for the night.
As stated, alcohol isn’t as cheap as the other clubs in Medellin but you will find a decent variety of booze. Expect to pay anywhere between $100 – $150 for a bottle of what we call premium: Grey Goose, Black Label, Don Julio.
Girls at la Isla will also walk by each table insisting that you buy them a drink. I’m sure there is at least one weak link in your group that will give in, but we recommend you don’t. Drinks for girls tend to be watered down tequila at like $10 per. We recommend that if they insist on drinking, offer them a drink of your alcohol instead.
Is it Worth it?
La Isla strip club is definitely one of those places we recommend you visit at least once.
