Airbnb in Medellin

No matter the size of your group and plans for your trip, Airbnb in Medellin is the first place you’ll look.

You’ll want to find a place that screams VIP, close to the action, and is party-friendly. Here are a few questions you need to ask yourself before.

Do you want to be able to walk to nightlife?

Do you want to reap the benefits of a lavish rental and keep the party indoors?

Both are valid questions and there is no right or wrong answer. If you have a big group of guys where most will wander off and do their own thing, staying in Parque Lleras is the way to go.

Parque Lleras is our main nightlife area and home to the best bars and clubs.

If you’re more interested in having a villa, doing activities during the day, and partying it up back home. These places you’ll find outside of Parque Lleras.

Where to Stay in Medellin

As we’ve mentioned, Parque Lleras is Medellin’s main nightlife section. You’ll want to live the experience of Medellin nightlife at least once or twice while you’re here. You’ll also want to try our eclectic restaurant scene.

But because Parque Lleras is synonymous with nightlife, doesn’t mean this is where you’ll need to stay.

El Poblado is Medellin’s most well-known, upscale neighborhood, and right dab in the middle is Parque Lleras.

This means, outside of Parque Lleras, there are other sectors of El Poblado that are very coveted. Places up in the mountains (5-15 mins away) where views are immaculate.

The closer you are to Lleras Park, the least likely you’ll be to find a place with a pool and or views.

Best Rentals in Medellin for Bachelor Party Groups

It’s best if we separate this by group size as it will be easier to manage.

If money isn’t an issue and you want the best of the best. You can’t go wrong with Crystal Palace. It’s a place where we’ve hosted artists the likes of Rick Ross.

Crystal Palace has recently been renovated and its underground nightclub is brand new. Views, a nightclub, infinity pool, and jacuzzi out on the deck. Add full-time security, maid service, and a butler and you’ve got yourself the ideal bachelor party rental.

Casa Vegas is second on our list. This place features 1 less bedroom but you also get a jacuzzi, pool and underground nightclub.

We have two bonus options, brand spanking new. Located 10 minutes away from Parque Lleras you’ll find Bosques de la Volcana. A housing complex once owned by Pablo Escobar, this complex is now a top venue for bachelor parties.

Bosques features 8 apartments each ranging in 6-8 bedrooms. They all have private semi-Olympic-sized pools, a jacuzzi and a few have nightclubs as well.

Best Rentals in Medellin for Single Travelers

Depending on the budget, there are hundreds of rentals for 1-2 travelers. In fact, you’ll most likely be able to book a lavish place last minute than you would a bachelor party pad.

Anything found in the Energy Living Building, Soul Building or that says Provenza will be good.

What to look out for when Looking at Airbnb in Medellin

The first thing you’ll find when looking for Airbnb in Medellin will be the phrase “party-friendly”.

Most properties endorse this and the ones that speak against it, don’t be discouraged.

If you’re looking for a place where you can bring Djs and dozens of people, Medellin might not be your ideal destination. There was a new police code added about two years ago that put a stop to all private parties with 30+ people. Add in the events of Covid-19 and you’ve got yourself a fine waiting to happen.

Every rental has the same rules:

Underage guests aren’t allowed
No DJs (though some you can work around)
No smoking in the bedrooms
Restrictions on loud parties after 10 pm (unless you have a private nightclub)

Reviews are also uber important. If you see a review from 3-4 years ago and or many of this listing’s reviews are old, you’ve got yourself a fake listing. I’d also check on the review history of those leaving reviews. I usually stay away from properties that feature reviews from individuals who have never left a review before. That’s most likely a landlord who asked a friend to hook them up with a review.
